Focus and Scope
Mediator: Jurnal Komunikasi is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes original research articles in the field of communication studies, with a specific emphasis on the dynamics of digital transformation, emerging media, and their social, cultural, and political implications.
The journal aims to advance scholarly discussions by promoting empirical and theoretical investigations that explore how communication processes shape and are shaped by contemporary society. We welcome submissions that address a wide range of topics including digital communication and social media, strategic communication and public relations, digital journalism and media studies, political communication and public policy, crisis and health communication, intercultural communication and identity, organizational communication and leadership, media literacy and communication education, environmental communication and sustainable development, as well as audience studies and media consumption behavior.
The journal encourages contributions employing diverse methodological approaches—quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods—as well as interdisciplinary and case study research grounded in current communication issues. By providing a platform for disseminating critical and innovative research, Mediator seeks to foster academic exchange among scholars, researchers, and practitioners and to contribute meaningfully to the global development of communication science.
