Author Guidelines
Instructions for the Author of Takafu: Journal of Tafsir and Gender Perspective
The text submitted by the author is the original scientific paper, has never been published, and is not being submitted for publication in other media/journals. The text proposed may be the results of the study (field/literature), conceptual ideas, studies, application of theories, and analysis related to Al-Qur’an, Tafsir and Gender Perspective include; Gender Perspectives in Quranic Verses, Historical Tafsir and Gender, Contemporary Tafsir and Gender, Feminist Tafsir, Queer Tafsir, Women Scholars of Tafsir, Methodologies and Approaches, Contextualizing Gender in Tafsir, Misinterpretations and Misrepresentations, Tafsir and Women's Empowerment.
Scripts should be written in English (Article) and in English and Indonesian (Abstract). The manuscript is written with Garamond of font 12 with multiple (1) spacing. The article must be under a 35 % check by plagiarism software (Turnitin). The article does not contain the results of plagiarism, falsification, and fabrication of data.
Manuscript Preparation:
- Manuscripts should be prepared in English and submitted in Microsoft Word format.
- Use Garamond, size 12, 1 space throughout the manuscript.
- Include a title page with the title of the manuscript, author(s) name(s), affiliation(s), email address(es), and corresponding author's contact details.
- Provide an abstract of no more than 250 words summarizing the main objectives, methods, results, and conclusions of the study.
- Keywords: Include 4-6 keywords that reflect the main themes or concepts discussed in the manuscript.
- Follow the citation style of the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th edition for in-text citations and reference list.
Manuscript Structure:
- Introduction: Provide a clear statement of the research objectives, relevance, and context within the field. Present a comprehensive review of relevant literature, identifying gaps, controversies, or debates.
- Methodology (if applicable): Describe the research design, data collection methods, and analytical techniques employed.
- Results and Discussion: Interpret the results, relate them to existing literature, and discuss their implications for the field.
- Conclusion: Summarize the main findings, highlight their significance, and suggest avenues for future research.
