THE INFLUENCE OF GLOBALIZATION ON TODAY’S INDONESIAN LANGUAGE

Language is a communication tool and a tool for conveying feelings, ideas and thoughts. Indonesian has two positions, namely as a national language and a state language. The existence of Indonesian as a national language in the field of science in the era of globalization needs to be paid attention to by society. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method with library data sources. This research was conducted with the aim of finding out the influence of globalization on the use of Indonesian in society. The results of this research are the condition of the Indonesian language in the era of globalization. Along with technological developments, Indonesian can be replaced by other languages foreign. Challenge That appear when confronted on era of globalization, both internal and external factors.
