Abstract

Abstrak. Matematika khususnya dalam bidang geometri telah memberikan banyak sumbangsih pada seluruh aspek kehidupan sehari-hari, termasuk dunia medis dan teknologi. Dunia medis dan teknologi merupakan satu-kesatuan yang tidak dapat dipisahkan, dengan adanya teknologi canggih yang membantu proses pengobatan pada dunia medis maka pengobatan akan jauh lebih efektif. Nefrolitiasis atau batu ginjal adalah keadaan dimana ditemukannya batu pada ginjal. Metode ESWL (Extracoporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy) adalah tindakan memecahkan batu ginjal dari luar tubuh dengan menggunakan gelombang kejut. Litotripsi termasuk metode pengobatan yang sangat berdampak positif pada pasien penderita batu ginjal. Uniknya pada metode litotripsi ini digunakan prinsip-prinsip elips dalam implementasi cara kerja mesin ESWL.

Abstract. Mathematics especially in the field of geometry has made many contributions to all aspects of our daily lives, including the medical world and technology. The world of medicine and technology is an inseparable unity, with the presence of advanced technologies that help the treatment process in the medical world, treatment will be far more effective. Nephrolithiasis is a condition where stones are found in the kidneys. The ESWL (Extracoporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy) method is the act of breaking kidney stones from outside the body using shock waves. The lithotripsy is a treatment method that has a very positive impact on patients suffering from kidney stones. Uniquely in this method of lithotesis used elips principles in the implementation of the workings of the ESWL machine.
