Pemirsa dan Tayangan "Awas 86" Karya Remotivi

Abstract

Abstract. Video essay is one of the mass media to convey a message from the producer to the audience who watched the film. However, audiences often receive the message in a different way and point of view. Audience as an active audience of course also acts as a producer of meaning. The video essay “Awas 86” is one of the shows that Remotivi uploaded to the youtube channel. This video explains the deviant function of the police. Which in the show is explained about the actions of the police who are less precise in carrying out their duties. This study aims to determine: 1) Viewers' reception in the dominant position in the "Awas 86" program by Remotivi. 2) Viewers' reception at the negotiating position in Remotivi's "Awas 86" Show. 3) Viewers' reception on opposition positions in Remotivi's "Awas 86" Show. The research method used is qualitative with reception analysis approach. While the data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews, group discussion forums, and literature studies. The results of this study are the viewer's reception of Remotivi's "Awas 86" program, that Remotivi's "Awas 86" is considered educating viewers, providing new knowledge and insight into mass media works, putting too much emphasis on subjectivity, and is considered to be able to lead public opinion. Other than that, the hypothetical position of viewers in Remotivi's "Awas 86" program in the dominant position is occupied by two informants, namely Ratu Nurnaeni and Heri Kasim because there is no doubt or difference in the meaning of the message in the video essay "Awas 86". In the negotiating position, one informant, namely Ferry Yogaswara, received the message conveyed by the Remotivi show but he had his own view of the police in the "Awas 86" program. And in the opposition position occupied by two informants, namely Fariz Riezky Nasrullah and Tri Nurif Hadi because the two informants did not accept the message given by the Remotivi program and had their own views on the program 86.

Abstrak. Video essay merupakan salah satu media massa untuk menyampaikan pesan dari produser kepada khalayak yang menyaksikan film tersebut. Namun khalayak sering kali menerima pesan tersebut dengan cara dan sudut pandang yang berbeda. Pemirsa sebagai khalayak aktif tentu bertindak juga sebagai penghasil makna. Video essay “Awas 86” adalah Salah satu tayangan yang diunggah Remotivi ke kanal youtube. Video ini menjelaskan tentang penyimpangan fungsi dari polisi. Yang mana dalam tayangan tersebut dijelaskan tentang tindakan pihak kepolisian yang kurang tepat dalam menjalankan tugasnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui : 1) Resepsi pemirsa pada posisi dominan dalam Tayangan "Awas 86" Karya Remotivi. 2) Resepsi pemirsa pada posisi negosiasi dalam Tayangan "Awas 86" Karya Remotivi. 3) Resepsi pemirsa pada posisi oposisi dalam Tayangan "Awas 86" Karya Remotivi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis resepsi. Sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, forum group discussion, dan studi kepustakaan. Lima informan yang terpilih akan diwawancara seputar video essay yang telah disaksikannya. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu resepsi pemirsa terhadap tayangan “Awas 86” karya Remotivi yaitu bahwa tayangan “Awas 86” karya Remotivi dianggap mengedukasi bagi pemirsa, memberikan pengetahuan dan wawasan baru terhadap karya media massa, terlalu mengedepankan subjektivitas, dan dianggap bisa menggiring opini publik. Selain itu, posisi hipotekal pemirsa dalam tayangan “Awas 86” karya Remotivi pada posisi dominan ditempati oleh dua informan, yakni Ratu Nurnaeni dan Heri Kasim karena tidak ada keraguan atau perbedaan makna pesan yang ada di dalam video essay “Awas 86”. Pada posisi negosiasi ditempati oleh satu informan, yakni Ferry Yogaswara karena informan tersebut menerima pesan yang disampaikan oleh tayangan Remotivi namun ia memiliki pandangan tersendiri terhadap pihak kepolisian di tayangan “Awas 86” tersebut. Dan pada posisi oposisi ditempati oleh dua informan, yakni Fariz Riezky Nasrullah dan Tri Nurif Hadi karena kedua informan tersebut sama sekali tidak menerima pesan yang diberikan oleh tayangan Remotivi dan memiliki pandangan tersendiri terhadap program 86.
