Abstract

Abstrak. Tanaman keluarga Cucurbitaceae adalah salah satu keluarga tanaman dengan spesies yang banyak ditemukan di daerah tropis dan subtropis serta memiliki berbagai manfaat yakni aktivitasnya sebagai antioksidan dan antiinflamasi. Antioksidan dapat membantu mengurangi peradangan dengan menghambat produksi radikal bebas yang dapat memicu reaksi inflamasi dalam tubuh dan menyebabkan kerusakan sel dan jaringan tubuh. Penelusuran pustaka ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mengumpulkan data mengenai keterkaitan jenis tanaman-tanaman yang memiliki potensi aktivitas antioksidan dan antiinflamasi dari keluarga Cucurbitaceae. Metode yang dilakukan pada penelusuran ini adalah dengan menggunakan Systematic Literatur Review (SLR). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak etanol kulit buah Citrullus lanatus memiliki nilai  sebesar 14,729 μg/mL dengan aktivitas antiinflamasinya yang dapat meningkatkan ketebalan epitel duodenum mencit sebesar 19,03±4,47 μm setelah diinduksi ovalbumin, pada ekstrak n-heksana buah Cucurbita moschata nilai  sebesar 30,75 μg/mL dengan aktivitas antiinflamasi ekstrak etanol buah Cucurbita moschata konsentrasi 5% dapat mengurangi pembengkakan edema akibat diinduksi putih telur 5% pada kaki tikus, dan pada ekstrak etanol bunga Ecballium elaterium nilai  sebesar 46,01 μg/mL dengan aktivitas antiinflamasi yang dapat mengurangi pembengkakan edema sebesar 82,93% yang diakibatkan induksi karaginan pada kaki mencit.

Abstract. The plant family Cucurbitaceae is one of the families of plants with species that are found in tropical and subtropical areas and have various benefits from their activities as antioxidants and anti-inflammatory agents. Antioxidants can help reduce inflammation by inhibiting the production of free radicals that trigger inflammatory reactions in the body and damage the cells and body tissues. The systematic literature review is to find out and collect data on the types of plants that have potential antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity in the Cucurbitaceae family. The method used in this search is to use a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The results showed that the antioxidant activity of the ethanol extract of Citrullus lanatus rind had an  value of 14,729 μg/mL with its anti-inflammatory activity, which increased the thickness of the duodenal epithelium of mice by 19,03 ± 4,47 μm after being induced by ovalbumin. In the n-hexane extract of Cucurbita moschata fruit, the  value was 30,75 μg/mL with the anti-inflammatory activity of the ethanol extract of Cucurbita moschata fruit. Cucurbita moschata concentration of 5% can reduce oedema swelling due to 5% egg white-induced oedema in rat feet, and in the ethanol extract of Ecballium elaterium flower, the  value is 46,01 μg/mL with anti-inflammatory activity, which can reduce edoema swelling by 82,93%, which is caused by carrageenan induction in mice's feet.
