Abstract

Abstract. Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are an important sector in the Indonesian economy. Good MSME performance is very much needed in a time when competition between other companies is quite high. This study aims to determine how competitive strategies can improve company performance in SMEs. The UMKM which is the object of this research is Sekala The Common Place which is a café located in Bandung, West Java. Under current conditions, Sekala The Common Place has a good company performance and is able to maintain its existence in the city of Bandung with the emergence of similar competitors by implementing competitive strategies. The method used in this research is descriptive analytical research method with a qualitative approach. The results of the study indicate that the Competitive Strategy can improve the Company's Performance in MSMEs.

Abstrak.Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) merupakan sektor penting dalam perekonomian Indonesia. Kinerja UMKM yang baik sangat diperlukan dalam masa dimana persaingan antar perusahaan lainnya cukup tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana strategi bersaing dapat meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan pada UMKM. UMKM yang menjadi objek penelitian ini adalah Sekala The Common Place yang merupakan suatu café yang berada di Bandung, Jawa Barat. Dalam kondisi seperti saat ini, Sekala The Common Place memiliki kinerja perusahaan yang baik dan mampu mempertahankan eksistensinya di kota Bandung dengan kemunculan pesaing sejenis dengan menerapkan strategi bersaing. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif analitis dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Strategi Bersaing dapat meningkatkan Kinerja Perusahaan pada UMKM.
